2008 Maritime Tattoo Festival May 22nd 2008 Jay Marceau attended the Maritime Tattoo Festival in Halifax last week-end. It was their second convention year and although it is a young convention, it was very well organized. Their even was a boat cruise for the artists on the first night. Jay Brought home the 1st prize for best medium color, and the trophy, as you can see, is really cool itself! On the road! First, over 50 new pictures were added in the gallerie sections, all of them have been updated. Second, a new section! We added a "Press and media features" section so you can browse through magazines, newspapers, TV shows and other medias that talked about us or showed pictures of our work. A New Tattoo Artist March 15th 2007 We recently had 3 more rooms built in the shop to accomodate more artists. The first new member of our family is Bruce Bodkin. Bruce is one of the most experienced tattoo artist in the whole province of Quebec with more than 40 years in the tattoo industry. Milan Tattoo Convention, Italy March 2nd 2007 Jay, Efix and Davzzz recently attended the Milan tattoo convention in Italy. An awesome convention with a lot of amazing artists. They also toured France for a week, interviewing and filming for an upcomming new tattoo magazine, Epidermia. The D-Markation crew would like to thank Everybody that welcomed them into their houses and shops and everybody who helped the magazine in one way or another. > New Jewelry October 10th 2006 We are gradually changing all our piercing jewelry from external threads to internal threads. Smoother for the insertion, higher polish, the very top of quality in body jewelry, just for you! Colaborative tattoo October 10th 2006 Jay Marceau and Vincent Nadeau recently started working on a full sleeve cover-up. The piece is going to be a nice blend of Jay's soft and gooey bio-organic and Vincent's sharp and edgy bio-mechanic. This piece will be done on martin Daviau, of the Battle of the Bands. If you'd like to be the canvas for a nice colaborative piece, just ask our artists and they'll be happy to find a good way to work on you together Montreal Art and Tattoo Convention 2006 September 27th 2006 We spent the week-end at the International Montreal tattoo convention and it was awesome! Absolutly the best convention we ever attended as a shop. Vince and Jay did a nice bunch of tattoos, Efix did many piercings and one big scarification demo each day. Jay won two 2nd places, one for medium color and one for best sleeve (Efix's sleeve!). You can see pictures of the work that has been done there in the gallery sections. Montreal Art and Tattoo Convention September 20th 2006 The whole D-Markation crew will be at the 2006 Montreal Art and tattoo Convention wich will be held this year again in the amazing Gare de Windsor Hotel. We'll of course offer full service for tattoos, piercings and scarifications. So drop by our booth and say hi! Efix is now back from his series of guest spots, that means he's avaible again for some travelling. The Laval Classic Bike and tattoo Show 2006 Report April 26th 2006 We just got back from the 2006 Laval Classic Bike and tattoo show. We had a booth set there for piercing and scarification. During this week-end, we had the chance to talk with lot of great artists, and see some very nice bikes! Efix did about a dozen piecings and a scarification demonstration. We presented 3 pieces for the tattoo contest and so, Jay won the 1st place for best medium color and 1st place for best sleeve. A great and rewarding week-end. New Artist in the Crew April 20th 2006 Great news for all those who were tired of waiting 4 months to get tattooed, We got a nice addition to our crew. Vincent Nadeau is now working with us as custom tattoo artist. You can see from now on his work in the galleries section. He's previously been working with Jay at Québec Tattoo, then at Famous workshop, DocTattoo and finally at Bruce Bart in Florida. Skin and Ink 19 avril 2006 Two sleeve tattoos done by Jay have been featured in the latest Skin and Ink (June 2006 issue) in an article about the 2005 Montreal Tattoo convention, wich we attended. New t-shirts 14 avril 2006 We finally received a new set of t-shirts designed by Jay. We got it in pink on black and blue on black in all sizes including girlies. Jesse Vilmaire at D-Markation February 22nd 2005 The famous scarification artist Jesse Vilmaire from Eternal Body Art, Toronto, will be at D-Markation on february 22nd 2005 as a guest artist.
